Mediation
Law on Mediation in Legal Disputes (Law No. 6325) was enacted on June 22, 2012. Upon the enactment of the relevant law, mediation started to be applied in Turkey as an alternative dispute remedy.
Mediation may be applied in the settlement of disputes concerning loan contracts, purchase and sale contracts, consumer disputes, contracts of work, lease disputes, worker claims, maritime trade and insurance disputes, trademark-patent disputes and disclosure of trade secret, since it is a faster and more effective method.
Legislation of mediation, which is one of the alternative extrajudicial dispute remedies, will change in time, and become the remedy to be primarily applied in case of above mentioned disputes.
In addition to the mediation service provided by our mediators, who are registered to the Mediation registry kept by the Ministry of Justice, we also evaluate the dispute type and orient our clients to the mediation method, upon counselling them. Particularly, if it is possible for an agreement to be reached between the parties in dispute, according to the risk assessment we make, we ensure the institution of mediation to be involved, and provide the necessary legal support for the parties to achieve a fast and economic result.
